Patterns of Life
At this time of the year we enjoy the long summer school holiday, and Christmas and New Year festivities. We get the chance to spend time with family and friends. We usually find this a time of refreshment and recreation; however, this year there have been other challenges.
The realities of the bushfires will have been impacted each of us in different ways, whether personally or by association through family or friends experiences, and by our empathy for the communities both human and animal which have been affected. I share your grief and anxieties.
Now there has been rain, bringing its sense of refreshment and relief. However, the usual patterns of life have been interrupted and will take time to be re-established. Indeed new ways of living may have been set up.
In Feldenkrais lessons we hold in awareness the full spectrum of our lives from the inner feelings and sensations, which guide movement, via the day-by-day rhythms, to big picture intentions. As we turn the beam of awareness on movement, we create the conditions for learning, improvement, greater comfort and increased agency. Feldenkrais offers a detailed road-map with which to explore our territory and make conscious decisions about its use.
Feldenkrais lessons offer:
calmness by reconnecting with your body, mind and spirit;
refreshment by observing your movements;
vitality by living intentionally;
finding the action each one of us needs to make to reconcile. |
