Creating the spaces we live and move in are the work of a lifetime, and start very young. While in the first years and months of life we have little awareness of our separateness from our mother, we quickly differentiate ourselves from our care givers and the world around us. Continuing to develop this differentiation in all the dimensions of ourselves, and throughout life keeps us fresh and growing into new experiences. The movements of our body keep us active and physically strong, and knowing ourselves, when solitary or in relationship, keeps us mentally healthy, promoting our wellness.
