Considering Sensation
Feldenkrais movement lessons rest on four components, which are involved in every action: movement, sensation, feeling and thought.
Each one of us speaks, moves, thinks, and feels in a different way, each according to the image of himself that he has built up over the years. ... Our self-image consists of four components that are involved in every action: movement, sensation, feeling, and thought.

The well-known five senses have been expanded recently to at least eight. How do we experience these senses and make a whole person experience in our lives? Combining sensation with feeling, and applying the insight of cognition expands our self-image. Acting playfully, we will explore movements, which may give us new ways to act in the moment.
You create the flexibility of mind to allow you to recover movements that have been reduced or eliminated from your repertoire. Moving within your comfort level you will better learn about your abilities and then extend them to realise the possibilities of human movement. |
